O'Chicago

O'Chicago is an energetic and playful painting created as part of my Urban Summer Chicago exhibit for Project Windows Chicago, honoring Georgia O'Keeffe's My New Yorks exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago. Influenced by O'Keeffe's Manhattan color palette and the flat blue sky used in several of her New York works, O'Chicago is packed with overlapping, skewed skyscrapers and a few iconic Chicago landmarks. This diptych, done in acrylic on canvas, consists of two panels, each measuring 16" x 40" x 2".
